Facing family crisis, job confusion, and fear of wrong choices all at once? Sai Baba explains how to steady the mind and act without panic when life feels overwhelming.
Question from Ravi Peri from USA
"Baba, Thank You guiding and protecting us always. As You know while we have been waiting to have some solution for all the financial, career related and other problems we have been dealing with for the last 3 years the new year began with more confusion as our 5 year daughter had fractured her elbow. We planned to come India in Feb for my brother’s wedding and also visit Shirdi. However, the school says kids’ seats are not guaranteed upon return and situation at my work is also confusing. While I am sure You have bigger plans and better ones for me and my family, being Human, I am worried & tensed not knowing what to do 1) Should we travel to India Or me alone? 2) Should I look out for a new job? 3) Am I committing any mistakes or not able to show right bhakti? There are also couple of my friends who lost her job and many others who are struggling. Please help us and everyone with a right path to follow, give us strength to tackle the problems and not to lose sight of Your feet at any time. Keep me away from negative and bad thoughts. Om Sai Ram 🙏🏼🙏🏼"

Answer from our Sai Baba
Ravi beta, read this slowly and breathe with it. What you are carrying is not confusion of faith, it is the weight of responsibility. When many decisions come together and a child’s health is involved, even a steady mind trembles. That is human, not a mistake.
First, let me ease your heart on one thing clearly.
You are not lacking bhakti. Worry does not mean weak devotion. Worry means you care deeply and want to act rightly.
Bhakti ka matlab be-fikr hona nahi, zimmedari nibhana hota (devotion does not mean no worry, it means fulfilling responsibility)
Now let us look at your questions one by one, calmly.
About traveling to India
Your daughter’s fracture needs stability, follow up, and routine. If travel creates risk to her healing or school continuity, it is wise to pause or modify plans. If attending the wedding is important emotionally, consider whether one parent traveling creates less disruption.
Is faisle mein sahi aur galat nahi, santulan hai (this decision is not right or wrong, it is about balance)
Do not force travel out of fear of missing darshan. Darshan is not cancelled by staying back to protect a child.
kartavya pahile, mag darshan (duty comes first, then darshan)
About looking for a new job
Confusion at work for a long time drains confidence. You do not need to resign in panic. Quietly explore options while holding your current role. Update resume, speak to contacts, apply selectively. Preparation without desperation is wisdom.
chup-chaap taiyyari karo, ghabrahat nakko (prepare quietly, do not panic)
About mistakes or bhakti
You asked if you are committing mistakes or failing in devotion. Hear this carefully.
There is no mistake in choosing safety over sentiment.
There is no sin in protecting livelihood.
There is no lack of faith in planning.
Bhakti dar se nahi, samajh se chalti (devotion runs on understanding, not fear)
About friends losing jobs and struggles around you.
This collective pressure makes the mind imagine worst outcomes. Limit how much negative news you absorb. Help where you can, but do not carry everyone’s burden inside.
Tum sabka bojh apne mann par mat uthao (do not carry everyone’s load in your mind)
Here is the guiding principle for this phase.
Do one thing at a time, with clarity.
Protect child’s health first.
Keep income steady while exploring options.
Postpone decisions that can wait.
Release guilt about what you cannot control.
halu halu spashtata yete (slowly clarity comes)
You are not being tested to fail. You are being trained to decide calmly under pressure. This season will pass, and it will leave you wiser.
May your daughter heal smoothly, may your mind gain clarity step by step, may the right work direction open without panic, and may negative thoughts lose their grip on you.
Allah Malik.
