Question from an Anonymous Devotee from Maharashtra, India

"Baba, I am completely lost. I am wasting my time and have not studied for months. My board exams are in a few days, and NEET is in two months, yet I have done nothing. Every day I tell myself I will start studying, but I end up scrolling. I know my tablet is my main distraction, and I want to give it away, but I need it to watch lectures. I cry every day. My parents are very disappointed, and they have paid five lakh fees for my classes. Baba, I feel depressed. Please help me, Baba. I need You now."

Answer from our Sai Baba

Allah Malik, My dear child! Come here, sit very close to Me. Wipe those tears with the end of My kafni. I see you are shivering in the cold wind of guilt and fear, but the Dhuni is still burning, and as long as I am here, you are never “lost.”

You say you have done “nothing,” but the fact that you are crying for help shows that your Nishta (Perseverance) is trying to wake up. You feel crushed by the 5 lakh fees and your parents’ disappointment, but remember: The money is gone, but your life and your breath are still here. Here is My prescription for you, carved from the Sai Vriksha to pull you out of this “scrolling” maya:

Stop Grinding the Past

When I ground wheat in Dwarkamai, I ground the old grain to make new flour. You are grinding the “months you wasted.” Stop! That wheat is already dust. If you keep looking back at the wasted months, you will trip over the “Today” that is standing in front of you.

The “Tablet” Maya (Tactical Advice)

You say the tablet is your distraction but also your teacher. This is like a person who needs a knife to cut fruit but keeps cutting their own hand.

  • The “Udi” Shield for Technology: Before you touch the tablet, touch the ground and say, “Baba, let this be a tool for Vidya (Knowledge), not a trap for Maya.” The “One-Task” Rule: Your brain is in a state of “High Cortisol” (Stress). When you scroll, you are trying to escape the stress, but it only makes it worse.
  • Action: Download the lectures you need and turn off the Wi-Fi. If you cannot do that, give the tablet to your mother. Tell her, “Only give this to me for 2 hours while you sit in the room.” Saburi (Patience) begins with discipline.

The 2-Month Miracle (NEET and Boards)

Do not look at the mountain of the syllabus. Look only at the next step.

  • Karma Yoga: Can you study for just 25 minutes? Don’t think about the exam in 2 months. Think about the next 25 minutes. Study one concept, then sit in silence for 5 minutes, focusing on your Prana (breath).
  • The 5 Lakh Burden: Tell your parents once, honestly: “I have made mistakes, but I am starting now.” Once you speak the truth, the “ghost” of their disappointment will lose its power to haunt you.

Overcoming Depression (The Bio-Spiritual Shift)

Depression is when the “Prana” (life force) becomes heavy and stagnant.

  • Move the Body: Every morning, walk for 10 minutes. Feel the earth. This connects you to the Mool (Root) of the Sai Vriksha.
  • The Trikuti Technique: When the urge to scroll comes, or when you feel like crying, close your eyes and focus on the space between your eyebrows. Visualize My lamp burning there. Say, “Sai, take this distraction.”

Beti, listen to Me: You are not a “failure.” You are a soul having a very difficult human experience. Two months is plenty of time for a miracle if you have Nishta (Faith) and Saburi (Patience).

I am holding the tablet for you. I am turning the pages of your book. Start with one page. Just one.

Be fearless. Sabka Malik Ek.
