A parent’s wish for a daughter’s happy future is sacred. Wanting the right marriage, harmony, and respect is natural. But listen gently to what brings real happiness in marriage.
Jab lagna vichar karto, saglyancha sukh pahila jato (when thinking of marriage, everyone’s happiness is considered)
First, hear this truth clearly.
Marriage works not because someone listens to elders’ words alone, but because both husband and wife grow with understanding, respect, and shared responsibility. Obedience without inner agreement does not last long.
lagna aiknyavar nahi, samajnyavar tikta (marriage survives not on obedience, but on understanding)
If the boy is respectful, mature, and open to guidance, that is good. But forcing control or expectation can silently create distance later.
zabardasti se khushi nahi aati (happiness does not come by force)
What you can pray and work for instead is this
May the boy and girl respect each other
May both families communicate with dignity
May decisions be taken together
May ego reduce on all sides
