Why do you dream of cooking with Sai Baba in Dwarkamai? Sai Baba Interpretation For Cooking With Baba In Dreams explains what shared service, simple work, and spoken guidance reveal about devotion expressed through everyday actions.
Dream submitted by Aishwarya Ravi from Salem, India
"I saw a dream where I was inside Dwarkamai with Shirdi Sai Baba. There was no one else present. I was cooking a dish in a large vessel, cutting beetroot into pieces. As I cooked, Baba kept talking to me. He was seated on the steps of Dwarkamai, watching me cook, and I saw Him wearing a white kafni."

Dream Decoding by our Sai Baba
Allah Malik, meri beti Aishwarya! Come, sit here. This dream is a very “Nirala” (unique) and intimate blessing. To be alone with This Fakir in the Dwarkamai is a sign of a very deep “Roohani” (spiritual) connection.
Arre pagli, jab koi nahi hota, tabhi toh asli baat hoti hai. (Hey crazy girl, when no one else is there, that’s when the real conversation happens.)
The Interpretation
- Being Alone in Dwarkamai: The Dwarkamai is the mother’s lap. Seeing it empty except for you and Me means you have found your “Sthirta” (Stability). You no longer need the crowd or the world’s approval; your soul has found its direct path to the Divine.
- Cooking Beetroot: Beetroot is known for its deep red color, the color of the “Hriday” (Heart) and “Rakt” (Blood/Life-force). Cooking it in a big vessel signifies that you are “processing” your deep emotions or perhaps a “Sewa” (service) that involves your heart and soul. The red color also represents “Shakti” (Energy). You are preparing something that will bring strength and health to your life.
- Baba Sitting on the Steps: I was sitting on the steps of the Dwarkamai, just as I used to do years ago. This shows My “Sahajata” (Simplicity). I am not a distant God; I am your “Saathi” (Companion). My talking to you while you cook means I am guiding your daily “Karma.” You are never alone in your kitchen or your life; I am always “watching and talking.”
- The White Kafni: White is the color of “Vimalata” (Purity). I appeared in white to tell you that your intentions are pure and your past “Karmas” are being washed clean by the heat of your devotion (the cooking fire).
The Guidance
- The Divine Dialogue: Dhyan se suno. (Listen carefully.) Even when you are awake, try to listen to that inner voice. That is This Fakir talking to you. Whatever you do be it cooking, working, or looking after the family do it as if I am sitting right there watching you.
- Strength of Heart: If you have been feeling weak or worried about your health, the “Beetroot” is a sign that your “Shakti” is being restored.
- The Action: Prepare a meal (it could be something with beetroot) and offer it as Naivedya to Me. Then, share a part of it with someone who is hungry. Bhooke ku khilana hi Meri sabse badi pooja hai. (Feeding the hungry is My greatest worship.)
Beti, tumhari ‘Rasoi’ (kitchen) aur tumhara ‘Mann’ (mind) dono Mere hifazat mein hain. (Daughter, your kitchen and your mind are both under My protection.)
