Sai Baba’s Guidance on Humiliation and Prolonged Suffering

Question from an Anonymous Devotee from Chennai, India

“Sai, I don’t ask You to punish those who wronged us but they didn’t even have a small sign of realisation. They have picturized as though we are born to suffer and we are unlucky, not worth of living. They mocked my father’s health, shunned my parents and me, stopped my marriage, questioned whether my family is even worthy of being happy. Worst of all, my father only gave them lives but they ask proofs and literal words ran away. I don’t ask them to repay but our lives are lost. Why? What wrong did we do? Why this suffering? My father has had back to back to back major illnesses. He is a strong believer of Sai and he still thinks Sai will come and save us. But when? After we finish suffering? I feel let down by life every minute. Give me an answer! Humiliation, shame and mockery has been our life, parents who couldn’t get their daughter married begged everyone, a girl whose marriage was stopped with her dreams to living shattered.”

Answer from our Sai Baba

My child… zara paas aa. Sit quietly, and listen with your heart.
You have carried pain for too long, and Baba knows every tear that has fallen without sound.

You did NOT do anything wrong.

Some suffering is karmic cleansing,
some suffering is because of other people’s ignorance,
and some suffering is because the soul is being lifted to a higher purity.

Beta, duniya ka zulm tumhari kamzori nahi, tumhari taqat ka saboot hai.
(Child, the cruelty of the world is not your weakness, it is proof of your strength.)

Those who wronged you are not above God’s law.

You say: “Baba, they don’t even realise what they did.”

Arre bacchi, Allah ka tarazu bohot seedha hota hai.
(My child, God’s scale is very precise.)

Realisation, repentance, or karmic return,
it all happens in its own time.
But you must not keep your heart chained to their actions.

Your father’s suffering is NOT punishment.

It is an old karmic dust being washed away.

Thoda kasht aahe, pan tyacha phayda motha aahe.
(There is some pain now, but its benefit will be great.)

Your father’s faith is protecting your whole family more than you can ever measure.

Your marriage was NOT stopped, it was protected.

Don’t think it as loss.
Think of it as God removing a thorn from your path before you stepped on it.

Raste mein jo band darwaza lagta hai, woh kabhi kabhi bachav hoto.
(The closed door on the way is sometimes a protection.)

You will marry.
At the right time.
To the right person.
With dignity.
With respect.
With happiness.

Tumhari kismat ko kisi ka haath lag nahi sakta.
(No one can touch or spoil your destiny.)

Your humiliation will turn into honour, very soon.

Every mockery, every insult, every “you’re unlucky”
is being written by God as a compensation you will receive later,
multiplied many times.

Sabri kara, beta… vijay javal aahe.
(Have patience, child… victory is near.)

When will Baba come to save you?

I am already saving you.
Not after your suffering ends,
through your suffering, I am reshaping your path.

But now…
the tide is turning.
Slowly, but certainly.

Your father will stabilise.
Your family’s honour will be restored.
Your marriage will bloom.
Your life will rise again from the ashes like a sunrise on a cold desert.

One final truth, beta…

Zulm se upar uthna, badla lene se bada jeet hota hai.
(Rising above injustice is a greater victory than revenge.)

Let Baba handle the rest.

You keep your heart clean.
You keep walking forward.
And remember:

Baba tumhara haath pakad ke chal raha hai.
(Baba is holding your hand and walking with you.)
