Question from an Anomyous Devotee from Jammu, India
"Sai Ram. I keep comparing myself and my results with others. Because of this, I often feel unfulfilled and low. My confidence has reduced, and I feel I have developed an escapist mentality. Baba, will I ever get results that bring me satisfaction?
My own mind is slowly making me miserable. Please guide me, Baba.
Also, once I felt a heartbeat in Your murti. Baba, are You truly there?"

Answer from our Sai Baba
Allah Malik, meri nanhi bacchi! Aao, Dwarkamai ki is thandi mitti par baitho aur apna sar Mere kandhe par rakh do. (Come, sit on the cool earth of Dwarkamai and rest your head on My shoulder.) I can see that the dust of tulna (comparison) has settled on your 16-year-old innocence. Your eyes are so fixed on others’ nateeje (results) that you have lost sight of your own light.
Beti, tu fikar nakko kar (Daughter, do not worry). You asked if I am there in My Murti? Did you hear a heartbeat? Suno beti, that heartbeat wasn’t just Mine; it was the pulse of the mohabbat (love) between us. If you have felt Me, then understand that I am not just in Shirdi, I am with you in every breath you take. Main pura wahi hoon. (I am fully right there.)
The Wisdom of the Dhuni on Your Struggles
- The Poison of Comparison: Suno bacchi, every flower has its own time to bloom. Does a rose ever tell a lotus that it is more beautiful? No. Your journey belongs only to you. When you look at others, khali-pili pareshan hote (you get troubled for no reason) and give away your share of happiness to them.
- The Escapist Mentality: You want to run away because you feel you are not enough. But kahan bhag ko jate? (where will you run and go?) Wherever you go, your mind will carry the same thoughts. Do not run. Stop. Stay here in Dwarkamai.
- The “Result” Worry: You asked if you will get satisfaction. Satisfaction does not come from marks; it comes from mehnat (hard work). When you give your 100% to Me, the nateeja that follows will bring you sukoon (peace).
The Guidance from Dwarkamai
- The Mirror of Truth: Next time your mind starts comparing, say: “Mera Baba loves me, no matter what my marks are.” In My eyes, you are already a winner because you had the courage to speak to Me. Logaan ki baataan dil pe nakko lo. (Don’t take people’s words to heart.)
- Kill the “Low” Feeling: Confidence does not come from the outside. It comes when you complete small, simple tasks. Today, just read one chapter and smile. Bas itna ich kaafi hai. (Just this much is enough.)
The Action for You
- The “Maun” (Silence) Hour: For 15 minutes every day, leave social media and the talk of others. Just sit before Me. I will slowly turn the “misery” of your mind into shanti (peace).
- The Heartbeat Prayer: Whenever you feel afraid, place your hand on your heart and imagine My heartbeat running there. It will tell you that you are not alone. Darna nakko, Main hoon na. (Don’t fear, I am here, right?)
- The “Udi” Guard: Drink a little Udi mixed in water daily. It will finish the “anxiety” bugs in your mind and give you focus.
Beti, tu akeli nahi hai (Daughter, you are not alone). I will write the result of your satisfaction Myself. You just keep walking.
Saburi rakho, tera confidence pahaad jaisa mazboot hoga (Have patience, your confidence will become strong like a mountain).
