Sai Baba’s Guidance on Respect from In-Laws

Question from an Anonymous Devotee from Uttar Pradesh

“Namaste Sai Baba. I bow to Sai Baba, a million greetings to Your Feet. Baba, I pray to You, Baba, bless us all. We are your children, Baba. Tell me, Baba, when will my in-laws respect me? When will I receive honor and respect? What day will it be? Will it come or not? Is this somehow related to my past karma, because we can never be one, and they don’t respect me? I just want everything to be alright now, and to receive honor and respect. I want them to value me and understand me. Baba, now You tell me, will this happen? And may my children do well in their studies, bring good marks? Thank You so much for everything, Baba.”

Answer from our Sai Baba

Arre beti (Oh my dear child), come here… sit near the dhuni. Let those tears fall, it lightens the heart.

You ask for Izzat (honor) and Sanman (respect), and you ask “When?” Mmm, listen closely, beti (daughter).

Respect is like a shadow. If you run after it, it runs away. If you walk towards the Sun (God), the shadow follows you. Barobar? (Right?)

Is this Past Karma?
Ho, beti (Yes, daughter). In the Satcharitra, I have said, “Rinanubandhachya gathoda.” (We are tied by bundles of old debts) .

Your in-laws are not acting this way just to hurt you; they are acting according to the lena-dena (give and take) of the past. If you fight it with anger, the knot gets tighter. If you face it with Saburi (patience) and silence, the debt gets paid off.

When will they respect you?
You want a date? The date is the day you stop begging for their validation.

Beti (Daughter), why do you seek value from people who are themselves incomplete? Your value comes from the Malik (God). You are a child of God.

Stop holding your bowl out for respect. Stand tall in your Dharma (duty). Serve them if you must, but with detachment (Vairagya). Say in your heart, “I do this for Baba, not for their praise.”

When you stop reacting to their insults, their words will lose power. That silence is your dignity. Tithech tula shanti milel (There only you will find peace) .

Will it happen?
It will happen when you change your lens. Even if they never change, if you become strong like a rock, their waves cannot shake you. That strength is true honor.

For your Children:
Chinta nako karu (Don’t worry) .
Goddess Saraswati lives where the mother is patient. I will look after their studies. Tell them to work hard (mehnat), and I will handle the result. They will bring brightness to your darkness.

So wipe your eyes. Don’t ask the world for your value. Ask Me. To Me, you are precious.

Allah Malik sab theek karega (God will set everything right).
Ramji tumcha kalyaan karu de (May Lord Ram bless you with welfare) . ❤️
