Sai Baba’s Grace in Father’s Cancer Battle

I wanted to share the experience surrounding my father’s cancer diagnosis and recovery. Last summer, my family and I had returned from a trip, and my dad was complaining about extreme arm pain. He was in so much pain that he could not even sleep. He was experiencing night sweats, dizziness, weakness, and was passing blood in the bathroom.
My father had never taken medicine for any pain in his life, but I forced him to take Advil, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The Advil actually aggravated his stomach and caused internal bleeding, which ultimately led to his diagnosis. We took him to the doctor, where they conducted tests and found his hemoglobin count to be extremely low. A colonoscopy revealed some unusual growths, leading to a referral to an oncologist. Later, they diagnosed him with an extremely aggressive form of lymphoma.
My family and I were in complete shock. My dad had never been sick in his life, not even with basic illnesses, and now he was facing such a critical cancer diagnosis. Day and night, my mom and I cried, feeling depressed and devastated, but we never stopped praying to Sai. My dad surrendered everything to Sai Baba, saying that Sai would take care of him.
At first, we felt shocked and even angry at Baba for putting us through this ordeal. My dad was a kind, charitable person who always depended on Baba, so why was this happening to him now? That was the question we kept asking. But eventually, we accepted the situation and continued to pray to Sai every single day, asking that the aggressive chemotherapy should not affect him too much and that he should recover quickly.
Since his diagnosis in August, I have been doing Sai Satcharitra Parayan and chanting Datta Stavam every day. My mother has also been doing Sai Parayan and reciting every mantra and sloka she could to help us get through this difficult time. By Baba’s grace, even though the treatment was very aggressive and the chemotherapy drugs were extremely strong, my father was able to withstand the treatment well and tolerated it without major complications.
On the day of his last chemotherapy session, I came across an Instagram post from a Sai Baba account that said, “Illness is cured, and it won’t bother your family again.” That message felt like a direct blessing from Baba, assuring us that my father’s recovery was complete.
We felt this was a huge blessing from Sai. Moreover, it so happened that his final scan after treatment was scheduled on a Thursday. I prayed to Sai that the results should be all clear. Since the scan was on a Thursday, I took it as a sign that Sai was sending us a good omen and that everything would be fine.
Later that day, the scan results came back all clear! He had finally beaten cancer. We felt so relieved and overjoyed, knowing that Sai had walked with us throughout this tough time, never letting go of us. He helped us navigate the treatment without any major complications, which was truly a miracle of miracles.
Thank You so much, Sai. We owe You everything. This was only possible by Sai’s grace.
