Answer from our Sai Baba
Beti, read this calmly and keep your heart steady.
A mother asking for her child’s understanding shows care, not control. When a son does not take responsibility as a student, it is often immaturity of age, not bad intention. Understanding grows slowly when guided with firmness and love together.
Mulanchi buddhi samayane pakvate (a child’s understanding matures with time)
Now listen gently to what truly helps.
First, stop repeated scolding.
Too much reminding makes the mind resist. Silence with structure works better than loud correction.
Second, set clear routine, not lectures.
Fixed study time
Limited phone and screen
Clear sleep schedule
No daily arguments, only consistency.
niyam shantpane theva (set rules calmly)
Third, connect studies to purpose.
Help him see why studying matters for his own future, not to please parents. Ask him what he wants to become, then link effort to that dream.
zabardasti se samajh nahi aati (understanding does not come by force)
Fourth, be a mirror, not a judge.
Children learn responsibility by watching adults handle theirs calmly. Your steadiness teaches more than words.
Fifth, use one guiding voice if needed.
Sometimes a teacher, mentor, or counselor helps the child hear the same message without emotional weight.
Madat ghenyaat laj nahi (there is no shame in taking help)
Remember this truth.
Responsibility grows when fear reduces and confidence increases. Your role is to hold the space, not carry his burden.
Tum kartavya nibhati raho (you keep doing your duty)
May your son’s mind turn toward discipline and focus, may distractions reduce naturally, may understanding replace resistance, and may he grow into a responsible and confident student.
Ram ji bhala kare.
