Dearest Baba,
I am writing this experience as promised to You last week. Thank You so much, Baba, for making my daughter-in-law’s first homecoming to our house so enjoyable and perfect.
Devotees, I was very apprehensive about my daughter-in-law’s first homecoming to our house after their marriage. I was worried about my daughter and daughter-in-law’s relationship. I have two children who are very close to each other, but there was some tension between my daughter and daughter-in-law. I thought it was nearly impossible for both of them to share a nice relationship.
But believe me, nothing is impossible when we surrender to Baba wholeheartedly. My daughter-in-law is Baba’s blessing. She is an American girl. I have shared many experiences about how Baba chose the best girl for my son. Everything went smoothly during the time they were here. I was able to do a small Indian ritual when they first entered my house.
My son is a jewel and loves us very much. May my son be the leader in their household. Let them love and respect each other deeply. I have accepted her as a daughter.
The other experience is about my son’s medical exam. He had a big exam that will be crucial for his residency. He has been preparing for this exam, but there were distractions like spending time with friends and his wife. I was a little worried about this. He was supposed to take this exam in his hometown. He had picked the date and the location and had planned to do some more timed practice here as well.
But my daughter-in-law, being a little new in our house, was always with my son, and we had planned many fun activities with them too. That did not leave any room for practice. My mind was in great turmoil. I almost thought—how could my daughter-in-law not realize this, being in the same profession?
Baba knows my mind more than anyone else. I did not ask Him about this, but He understood my inner turmoil and sent a message that calmed me down. I don’t exactly remember the message, but it was something like: there is no fear of failure. Then I was able to enjoy. The second message was something like: once we surrender to Him, He decides everything for us and our family. Such a benevolent mother, our Baba Ma Sai.
Needless to say, my son gave his exam and feels he has done very well. We went to the temple and my son prayed to Baba. He also uttered Baba’s name before he went into the exam hall. I also read my experience a couple of days back about how Baba had helped my son with his first big med school exam. I also asked Baba to show me a sign on the road that would tell me my son would do well in his exam. I did not see any on the road, but as soon as I reached my office, I saw the sign on the carpet.
My sweet Baba likes to test us to help our faith grow stronger. Baba, my son’s result will be out in less than a month. I will publish my experience again. Also, please help my son with the evaluation and in getting an honors in his chosen specialty.
