Sai Baba’s Blessings During Mother’s Hospitalization
An Anonymous Shirdi Sai Baba Devotee from the USA says: I would like to share a recent experience I had with my mom’s hospitalization.
A few weeks back, my mom wasn’t feeling well at all. She had a severe cough and congestion, and her oxygen levels were dropping at home. I took her to the local hospital (Emergency Room), and she was ultimately admitted. Although tests revealed that she only had what we know as the “common cough” (she was tested for many other things, but all came back negative), and the CT scan revealed no pneumonia, she was still placed on oxygen to help open up her lungs. This made me very nervous, as it is not good to be placed on assisted oxygen at the hospital.
Inspired by what I had read in Sai Satcharitra Chapter 15, I mentally bowed and vowed to Shirdi Sai Baba, declaring that if Mom could be removed from oxygen and ultimately released from the hospital, I would 1) write an experience on this site and 2) go to our local Sai Mandir here in Maryland and offer a coconut and sugar candy.
After I made this vow mentally, Mom was slowly removed from oxygen and began breathing normally on her own. They kept her for observation for a couple of days, but we were ultimately released from the hospital, and now she is at home recovering. I haven’t yet had a chance to go to the mandir, but as soon as I get a chance, I will go, fall at Baba’s feet, and offer the coconut and sugar candy as promised.
