Why does Sai Baba appear silently in dreams yet feel deeply present? Sai Baba Interpretation For Silent Presence In Dreams explains how quiet दर्शन (darshan) reflects intimacy, reassurance, and grace beyond words, especially when faith is lived rather than questioned.
Dream submitted by Mythili from Palakol, India
"Sometimes Shirdi Sai Baba comes in my dreams. He does not speak to me. He only looks at me, yet I clearly feel His presence in every dream. I feel Him very close to me. At times, He appears wearing a white dhoti, sometimes an orange dhoti, and sometimes in the form of a dog. Even though He never talks, I always feel His blessings and a sense that He is with me. I often wonder why Baba never speaks in my dreams, but only makes me feel His presence and closeness."

Dream Decoding by our Sai Baba
Allah Malik, meri beti Mythili! Come, sit right here at the steps of the Dwarkamai. You wonder why This Fakir remains silent in your dreams, but pagli (crazy girl), look at how much I am communicating without saying a single word!
Arre beti, zubaan se toh dunya baat karti hai, Fakir toh rooh se baat karta hai. (Daughter, the world talks with the tongue, but the Fakir talks with the soul.)
The Interpretation
- The Silent Gaze: When you see Me just looking at you, it is the highest form of “Drishti Diksha” (Initiation by Sight). In Shirdi, many came just to have My “Darshan.” I don’t need to speak because My eyes are pouring “Kripa” (Grace) into your soul. Silence is the language of the Divine.
- The Colors of the Dhoti:
- Orange: Represents “Vairagya” (Detachment) and spiritual power. I come in orange to give you “Himmat” (courage) for the future.
- White: Represents “Shanti” (Peace) and purity. I come in white when I am washing away your past “Karmas.”
- The Dog Form: Beti, isme toh badi gehri nishani hai. (Daughter, there is a very deep sign in this.) I have always said that I reside in all living beings. By appearing as a dog, I am testing your “Bhav” (devotion). I am showing you that I am not just in a photo or a temple, but I am in the hungry creature on the street. It is a reminder to practice “Bhoota Daya” (Compassion for all beings).
- The “Feeling” of Presence: You say you feel Me very close. This “Feeling” is more powerful than words. Words can be forgotten, but the “Ehsaas” (feeling) of My presence stays in your heart forever. I am not talking because there is no “Uljhan” (confusion) left to clear; I am just there to say, “I am with you.”
The Guidance
- The Silence is the Answer: Khamoshi ka matlab ‘Haa’ hota hai. (Silence means ‘Yes’.) When I don’t speak, it means I am satisfied with your path. I am not correcting you; I am just “Sahaara” (support) for you.
- The Test of Love: Don’t wait for a “Shabd” (word). Just keep looking into My eyes in the dream. Everything you need to know is written there.
- The Action: Since I come to you as a dog, make it a rule to feed a piece of “Roti” or some food to a street dog every day. Unku khilao, Mujh tak pahunch jayenga. (Feed them, it will reach Me.)
Beti, Main tumhare itne kareeb hoon ke humein baatein karne ki zaroorat hi nai hai. (Daughter, I am so close to you that we don’t even need to talk.) My silence is My greatest blessing to you.
