A Blessed Experience at Dubai, Jebel Ali Hindu Temple
Last Saturday (21-12-2024), I had an extraordinary experience at the Hindu temple in Dubai, Jebel Ali. We prayed to all the deities, and while worshipping the statue of Goddess Mookambika, I noticed some kumkum (red powder) placed beneath it. Feeling drawn to it, I requested the priest for a small portion of kumkum as prasad to apply to myself and my family. However, he politely refused, explaining that it was against the temple’s rules. Since I hadn’t performed any special pooja, I understood and moved on.
Next, we prayed at Lord Murugan’s shrine. To my surprise, the priest there blessed my children, who are both above eight years old, with flowers and a banana each. Just before us, a family had celebrated a young boy’s birthday with an archana. Interestingly, their three-year-old child didn’t receive any prasad, which caught my attention.
We continued to Sai Baba’s shrine, followed by Lord Anjaneya’s. There was a steady stream of archanas happening at the Anjaneya shrine. My younger child received a banana as prasad here, and after the pooja, she offered a few leftover flowers to Sai Baba. The priest placed the flowers at Baba’s holy feet and returned three pieces to us.
As I took the flowers in my hand, I noticed something remarkable. Among them were two beautiful yellow flowers from the same stem. I felt a surge of joy and shared this with my husband and kids, marveling at the blessing. I placed the flowers in my bag and brought them home, storing them in the fridge.
The next morning, as part of my usual ritual, I lit a lamp and retrieved the flowers from the bag. What I saw gave me goosebumps, one of the flowers had a fresh patch of kumkum (red powder) on it! I was overwhelmed with happiness and applied it, feeling truly blessed.
It felt as though Sai Baba Himself had sent me this kumkum as a divine blessing. The surprising part was that when I received the flowers at the temple, there had been no kumkuma on them. Yet, the next day, it appeared miraculously.
This experience reaffirmed my faith in Sai Baba. His blessings reach us no matter where we are. I am grateful and humbled by His divine grace.
