Shirdi Sai Baba’s Blessings on a Devotee’s Birthday
Anonymous Shirdi Sai Baba Devotee from India says: I am an ordinary devotee of Baba.
It was my birthday, and we had reached Kolkata early in the morning for some work. I was carrying a new handbag but regretted that I had not placed Baba’s photo in it before starting the journey. I was yearning to visit a Sai Temple on my birthday. The nearest temple from our place was about 11 kilometres away, and it was raining heavily. For one reason or another, our departure to the temple kept getting delayed. I thought perhaps Baba had planned for us to attend the Aarti instead.
When we finally arrived, the Aarti was already in progress. I felt so blessed to attend it. However, my baby started shivering from the cold, so my husband took him to the car. I did not feel right about leaving the Aarti, but I also needed to check on my baby. Thankfully, the Aarti ended soon after. Baba had timed everything so perfectly byallowing me to attend the Aarti while also being able to care for my baby. Although I would have loved to be present for the entire Aarti, it was all as Baba wished.

Suddenly, a lady in the temple handed me a book of Sai Vrat Katha. Without saying a word, she placed it in my basket. I kept the book in my handbag and realised that Baba’s photo had, in a way, come to my handbag through this book.
As I was about to leave after my Darshan and Pooja, I received a call from Shri Murali Kanna (associated with Sai Yug Network). He asked me to connect over a video call. During the call, I showed him the view of the Sai Temple where I was standing. To my amazement, he showed me the live scene of Dwarkamai on his side.
I could not have asked for anything more, it was such a huge blessing for me! The timing and the sequence of events filled me with immense joy.
Just a day earlier, I had prayed to Baba, asking Him to purify me and guide me to overcome negative thoughts and qualities within myself. Baba showed me the way. I told myself that if I followed this path with strict discipline, Baba might grant me Sakshatkar (a direct divine experience). I felt unworthy of such grace, considering my flaws. But what Baba gave me was beyond my imagination,a direct Darshan of Dwarkamai, where He was seated in the very posture I meditate upon daily.
Day and night, I think of Him sitting in that spot, in that exact posture. Seeing Him there live felt like Baba had granted me the Sakshatkar I longed for.
May Baba purify me and all of us to get the real Sakshatkar of Him and be with every moment. Om Sai Ram!!
