Faith in Sai Baba during Medical College Admission

Admissions to medical colleges in the U.S. are a complex and lengthy process, with numerous requirements that must be fulfilled. This account highlights how Sai Baba stood by us during a 6-7 year effort to secure admission to a U.S. medical college.
My daughter has been passionate about pursuing medicine since high school. However, her attempt to secure direct admission after 12th standard which is an opportunity with very limited seats was unsuccessful. Undeterred, she pursued an undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree at a top-tier university for four years, completing pre-med coursework while actively engaging in volunteering and extracurricular activities.
During her undergraduate years, she undertook extensive research and even published academic papers. At the end of her undergraduate program, she appeared for the MCAT. Her GPA and MCAT scores were excellent, and she had a strong set of recommendation letters. She applied to medical schools and was thrilled to receive one interview call.
Throughout this journey, I performed several Nav Guruvar Vrats and regularly read the Sai Satcharitra, seeking Sai Baba’s blessings. Despite our efforts, she was placed on the waitlist and, unfortunately, did not secure admission that year. This was deeply disappointing, especially after an entire summer dedicated to writing primary and secondary essays. The rejection was crushing for us.

She worked for a year in a firm before deciding to pursue a higher degree at a premier school in her field of education. During her second year, she chose not to apply to medical colleges again and instead focused on building her credentials. Alongside her Master’s degree, she volunteered at hospitals and taught underprivileged children for two years.
After completing her first year of the Master’s program, she decided to apply to medical colleges once more. This time, she was open to receiving feedback and input from friends and acquaintances in the medical profession. She retook the MCAT, and by Baba’s grace, she achieved the same high marks as before. Additionally, she secured strong recommendation letters once again.
I prayed fervently for Baba’s blessings during this second attempt and sought His presence throughout the process. I performed multiple Sai Satcharitra parayan during both attempts. There were many anxious and stressful days as she navigated qualifying exams and application deadlines. By Baba’s grace, this time she received interview calls from four medical schools.
Throughout her first interview, I prayed and read the Sai Satcharitra, and she completed the interview successfully. In the meantime, I am delighted to share that, by Baba’s grace, after more than six years of effort, she has received an intimation of admission from the first college she interviewed with. Her second interview was today and also went well. She has two more interviews to attend, and by Baba’s grace, I am confident she will perform well in those too and ultimately choose the college of her preference.
Throughout the ups and downs of this journey, Baba held our hand during many anxious moments. He heard my prayers and has blessed my daughter abundantly. Thank You, Baba, for Your endless blessings!
Dear Sai devotees, stay strong in your faith. Life is full of struggles and while we work hard towards our goals, Sai is the helmsman that will take us safely ashore, overcoming worldly troubles and help us attain our spiritual goal as well.

Sai Baba’s Blessings in Everyday Moments

I am sharing two experiences that happened just two days ago. They may seem small, but for me, Sai Deva is my go-to for anything and everything in life.
On Friday, my son and our dog were traveling when it suddenly started raining. I prayed to Baba, asking for their safe return. By Baba’s blessings, they reached home safely.
The second experience involves my son, who is a cricket player. He suddenly developed pain in his right hand, which worried us because he has an important selection on Tuesday. I prayed to Sai Deva to cure his pain, and as always, Sai Appa made him completely fit.
Thank You, Deva! Please, Appa, bless him to get selected. I have full faith in You. I will share my experience again once he gets selected.
