This post is a gratitude post to our beloved Baba regarding the safe trip of kids for school camp.
In the USA, as part of elementary school, kids either in 5th or 6th grade, go for a school camp (3 nights, 4 days) in the wilderness staying in cabins in forest / mountain settings with other kids. School teachers, high school kids and teachers of outdoor school programs take care of the kids and take them on various activities in nature e.g. hiking . No parents are allowed to accompany the kids. Also there is very limited communication from teachers during the camp. Generally parents are always anxious to send kids on these trips because as parents it’s hard not to see kids even for a day.
My both kids are in 5th grade. This year in December they went to school camp. My wife and I were both worried but decided to let kids participate in the camp as it is part of their learning and becoming more independent. Before the camp, all of us visited Baba’s temple and prayed for a smooth trip. With Baba’s grace everything went well in the camp. Kids came back happy and made new friends, enriched with new experiences.
Thanks Baba for Your infinite mercy and grace. You are our sole refuge. May we always be devoted to Your lotus feet and never forget You.
