Sai Baba Blessings In College Admission in Mumbai
Anonymous Shirdi Sai Baba Devotee from India says: I am a Sai devotee. I am married and the mother of two sons. I shifted to Mumbai 3 years ago.
I got a suitable job immediately after I arrived. My two sons expressed their interest in pursuing graduation here. Little did I know that the admission process here is centralized and conducted online.
My elder son arrived in Mumbai just 20 days before his entrance exam in 2023. We filled out his form with the preferred test centre in Mumbai but got a test centre in Pune instead. We booked tatkaal tickets and boarded the train. Unfortunately, somebody stole his cell phone while he went to wash his hands. We were very upset and angry.
Later, after getting down in Pune, we saw a Sai Baba temple outside the station. We prayed for His support and guidance. I felt a bit relaxed at that moment, believing Baba would take care. We then searched for a hotel near the test centre, but the room rates were too high for us. So, we looked out for a budget hotel. We were very tired and saw 3 to 4 hotels, but none were suitable.
After dinner, we regained some strength. As we came out of the restaurant, we saw an arrow pointing toward a hotel. Within 2 minutes of walking, we found a decent, affordable, and clean hotel. The manager was very friendly, gave us proper directions to the test centre, and made us feel comfortable. We slept peacefully that night.
The next morning, I took my elder son to the test centre. He gave the test and was visibly happy afterward. The results came, and he secured a 711 merit rank. The centralized admission process started. He got his preferred college in the first round but under the PwD category. He started crying, thinking his admission would be nullified due to incorrect information, and he would lose a year.
We went to the college and explained our concerns about the error while filling out the form. The admission department guided us on how to rectify the mistake, and my son finally got admitted. He is now doing well in his course. I thank Sai Baba for His kind guidance and support. Om Sai Ram.
Last year, my younger son wrote his 12th standard exams casually, very distracted by his cell phone. He lost confidence in himself. I was praying to Sai Baba to show him the right direction. After discussing with him, I enrolled him in a coaching institute for a crash course for an entrance exam. Fortunately, the teacher there encouraged him and gave him good practice using past papers. He scored a decent 87 percent.
We filled in his preferences for colleges, but he didn’t get any. We didn’t have a domicile certificate for Maharashtra, so he was treated as an Outside Maharashtra candidate, and his ranking was beyond 1 lakh. We waited for the second round and still no admission. The third round passed and again, nothing. He cried aloud, fearing he would lose a year.
I tried for admission in a private college, but the fees were ₹16 lakhs for 4 years. He didn’t want that, so we waited for spot admission, which is again based on luck.
On the day of admission, I called my husband to accompany my son. I was too nervous but prayed earnestly to Sai Baba for help. Later that day, I received a call from my son saying he got admission and asked me to come and sign the admission form. I thanked Sai Baba for His kind help. My son has now completed his first year and is doing well. Om Sai Ram.
I realized that Saibaba is there watching all of us, guiding us all along. I am sorry for any wrong doing with or without intention. Please forgive me. I thank You for Your love and support. I trust You completely and surrender to You. I love You Baba. Om Sai Ram.!!
