My Heartfelt Gratitude to Sai Baba for Son’s Successful Admission and prayer for his better future.
Sai Deva, I seek Your permission to share one of the toughest experiences of my life with all Sai devotees.
This experience revolves around my son, who appeared for his 12th board exams and various engineering entrance tests. It’s an experience that highlights how limited our understanding is and how only complete surrender to Sai can carry us through. We, as humans, suffer due to our past karma, but Sai always stands beside us, holding our hands. He never lets us suffer alone and always gives us the best outcome, even if it’s different from what we expect.
I had already prayed to Sai multiple times for improvement in my son’s behavior and approach toward studies. He refused to take any coaching or tuition during his 11th and 12th grades and insisted on self-study. He was carefree and never took his studies seriously. He told us he couldn’t aim for Computer Science in IIT, so there was no point in trying hard. This created a lot of strain in our relationship, as we constantly nagged him about studies. I prayed to Deva to motivate him, but Sai had other plans and never changed his mindset. Both my husband and I felt hopeless. My only hope was my Sai Baba.
He took all his exams very casually, including his 12th board and most entrance exams except for the Manipal Institute exam, as he wanted to get into the Computer Science branch there. He did score well in Manipal’s written test and also secured a good rank in VIT Vellore’s entrance, purely by Baba’s blessings, despite attempting it half-heartedly. However, my son dismissed the idea of joining VIT, saying it was too strict according to his friends.
My husband and I were a little biased against Manipal, as it’s a very liberal college with no restrictions something we felt was not ideal for our son.
On Thursday, 1st May 2025, I spoke to a colleague who advised me to visit a Hanuman temple with my son. After returning home, I performed my regular puja and casually asked my son if he wanted to go to the society temple. He didn’t respond, and since I was tired, I let it go. But surprisingly, a little while later, he asked about going to the temple. I took this as Baba’s will and went with him. Thank You, Baba, for always guiding us to do the right things. You always know what’s best for all of us.
Meanwhile, I had a dream in which I saw a result showing 77–78% marks. I took it as Baba’s sign and begged Him not to let His grandson score so low. I also came across an experience shared by a devotee studying in VIT Vellore.
Through question-answer Baba says: “You will be free from fear. You will recover from disease. Be humble and see what happens.”
“Worries will be over. You are feeling uncomfortable for no reason. Remember Sri Sai Baba. Shree Sai is with you.”
Then, on 12th May 2025, the 12th board result was declared, and my son got 79.6%. We were devastated. I was really upset with Deva why not at least 80%, which would’ve seemed a little more respectable? I became silent as my colleagues’ children had scored above 90%. Many people mocked us, and I took it as Baba’s test. I knew my son hadn’t worked hard and this result was due to his own negligence. But I prayed to Deva to help him mend his ways. I believed there must be a reason why Baba allowed this to happen.
On 14th May 2025, I came across this line:
“Sometimes we may think that nothing is happening according to our wishes, but if we have faith in Baba, every delay turns into His blessing.”
I trust You, Sai Baba, with all my heart.
For the first time, even my son seemed upset. He learned that Manipal University considers 12th board marks with 50% weightage. If he had just 0.4% more (80%), he would’ve fallen into a higher merit slab (80–90%). Later, his Manipal rank was declared, and he was offered Electrical Engineering, not CS.
That’s when I finally understood Baba’s leela. He didn’t want His grandson to get into Manipal. Baba wanted him to consider VIT as the only option.
On 16th May 2025 – VIT Counselling Day, Baba said: “You will achieve great things. An old thing will be more useful.” During the VIT counselling, I humbly requested Deva to grant His grandson a seat in Computer Science at the main Vellore campus, which is 42 years old.
On 19th May 2025 – VIT Branch Allocation Result Day, Baba said: “Remember Sri Sai Baba. Life will be meaningful. This will happen due to your good deeds in a previous life.”
Finally, Deva did the miracle, my son was granted CS in VIT Vellore.
Later, my husband’s friend from the USA told us how good the college was and even shared a link from the Government of India’s Ministry of Education, Engineering Institutes Ranking 2024. VIT Vellore was ranked 11th, just below my husband’s college, IIT BHU. We were amazed and mesmerized by Deva’s planning. Many knowledgeable people spoke highly of VIT, which gave us much-needed reassurance.
This entire experience is one of the biggest miracles of my life. We are shortsighted and tend to worry about the present, but Baba sees the bigger picture and always wants the best for us. Sometimes, we don’t even know what’s truly good for us, but Baba does.
On 7th June 2025, Saturday, Ekadashi, I had a dream vision of Lord Venkateshwara’s black idol with Shankha and Chakra just before waking up. Thank You, my Almighty, for always blessing me.
Deva also blessed us to attend my friend’s housewarming ceremony joyfully.
On 8th June 2025, Sunday, Sai Deva guided me to visit a pandit ji with my mother to check my son and daughter’s kundalis. Deva blessed them with a good future.
On 9th June 2025, Monday, in an early morning dream, I was walking in the premises of a very old temple with many idols. I entered a big hall and saw an ancient Shivling. I collected water from a nearby source and offered it to the Shivling. While retreating, I saw another older and smaller Shivling and again offered water to it and to the Vasuki idol (snake).
On 16th June 2025, Monday, I saw a small shrine with a small black Shivlinga in an early morning dream. Thank You, Deva, for granting me such divine darshan.
Deva, please guide us and bless us with darshan of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala, and of other deities in temples during our trip to Vellore from 11th to 19th July 2025 for college admission.
You are the best planner, my Sai Baba.
Deva, please always hold our hands and guide us on the correct path. I am forever grateful for Your love, Baba. I surrender at Your feet. My devotion might fall short, but Your grace is never-ending. Please help & guide all of us in every aspect of life!
