Sai Baba’s Assurance in Moments of Weakness

Anonymous Shirdi Sai Baba Devotee from India says: I am an anonymous devotee of Saibaba from India and thank you for all who are maintaining this blog

This whole experience is a whole account of my journey to home and facing difficulties and attending exams and coming back.

This journey was special because Baba was with me at every stage. Difficulties cropped up, but Baba handled them well.

I started my journey on Monday to my home and went to the KSRTC. It was a long journey, approximately 9 to 10 hours. Before leaving, my friend cautioned me to travel safely and to be especially aware of boys and men. These words stayed in my mind, and when the bus started, an uncle sat beside me. Because of my friend’s warning, I felt anxious and prayed to Baba to be with me and to please remove that person from beside me. I was eager for Baba’s presence. Suddenly, I saw Hanuman Dada’s photo on the front of our bus, and I thought that Baba was with me. I kept to my side of the seat in order to make distance from that person. After two hours, the person left, and though I still wasn’t feeling well that day, I continued praying to Baba for His protection.

After that, Baba placed only good people around me, and throughout the journey, I kept seeing Dada’s photo. At some point, the bus stopped for afternoon meals, and I needed to go to the washroom. I didn’t have change with me, but I still went. A transgender person was collecting the money, and I explained that I didn’t have cash. They allowed me to pay online, and as I was noting down their number, my mom called. By the time I finished the call, they had already completed the transaction. When I asked for the number again, they became angry, thinking I was making unnecessary things out of the situation. I eventually paid the money, but I felt sad because of the incident. Later, on the bus, they came around asking for money again. I didn’t have anything, and I thought they would scold me again, but this time, someone beside me gave them the money, and they went away happily.

I had my meal, but the food was actually not good, as after eating, I felt weakness in my body. That day, I felt like something was not right, but I still knew Baba was going to make everything alright. By the time I reached home, I was down with a fever and felt very cold, but I didn’t tell my parents anything because they wouldn’t believe me. Since the next day was the exam, they would think I was making up something. So, I somehow adjusted to the situation, prayed to Baba that I should be alright the next morning, and slept. The next day, I felt quite okay, and I went to the exam.

At the exam, I wasn’t allowed to wear a nose pin, and I didn’t know about this rule. Moreover, it was fixed, and I got scared, but the metal detector didn’t detect it. I don’t know why they didn’t notice it during the manual check. Nobody else was wearing a nose pin either. Then, a girl came to me and said I was lucky because they had made her remove her nose pin and even her hair clip. That made me even more scared about what would happen if they noticed mine, but by Baba’s grace, He handled it.

During the exam, my fever worsened, and wearing a sweater was not allowed. I was literally dying from the cold with every breeze. Even in the afternoon session, they didn’t notice, and the metal detector didn’t detect it either. I don’t know how because everyone else wasn’t allowed to bring those items. At that point, I was sure it was Baba’s Leela. I somehow knew that the exam wasn’t going well because my condition was such that I couldn’t even think properly. I ended up dozing off in the room, and when I opened my eyes, halftime was over. I asked for water and somehow completed the exam, but by that time, my fever was so high.

Afterward, I tried to tell my parents, but they thought it was nothing. By the time I reached home, I was exhausted, and the next two days were hell.

I was down with a heavy fever, and the tablets I took would make me feel normal for another two hours, but then the same shivering would return. I had to go to the exam, so I packed my luggage, but the fever was still there. I knew I couldn’t manage the journey that day. I cried in despair, and my mom consoled me, saying, “Don’t worry, let’s skip the exam, stay for two days, and then go.” I was also worried that I had wasted the money by applying, but then I thought maybe I wouldn’t have cleared it even if I attempted. Everything happens for a reason, and Baba knows all these things. I accepted my situation.

The next day, the fever still didn’t stop. We went to show it to the doctor, who gave me medicine and an injection. He also mentioned that if the fever persisted, I should go for a blood test. I prayed to Baba that everything would be alright. After that, my condition slightly improved, and by the time I returned home, the fever was completely gone.

During this time, my grandmother was insisting that I visit her, as she hadn’t seen me in a long time. I also had another issue that required me to see an Ayurvedic doctor, so we went that day. I met my grandmother, and she was happy to see me. I also got my medicine. Baba made sure He helped both of us, and that day happened to be Thursday.

It was raining heavily in my native place, but on this journey, Baba also fulfilled my mom’s wish. She had asked for a few things, and I sought Baba’s help. With His blessings, I was able to get good things for her, and she was happy. On the return journey, Baba ensured that I didn’t face any difficulties. He placed a woman beside me in my seat, and although my luggage was heavy that day, Baba made sure I reached safely without any inconveniences regarding food, water, or my seat. He knows my heart and kept some secrets as secrets. Thank You, Baba, love You so much.

On the way, there is a big statue of Baba that I always intended to see. This time, I wasn’t sure if I had passed that place, but finally, Baba gave me His darshan. I was happy, and Baba made sure I reached the hostel safely, holding my hands.
