How does Sai Baba remain present through life’s challenges? This heartfelt experience from Roohi, a Sai Baba devotee living in the USA, shares how Baba guided her through career changes, pregnancy loss, family difficulties, and her daughter’s health concerns. After feeling distant from Him, she experienced His divine presence once again.
Sai Baba’s Constant Presence Through Life’s Challenges

Shirdi Sai Baba Devotee Roohi from the USA says: My name is Roohi. I worked in the IT field and am currently living in the USA.
Sometimes, life changes in a single moment. Everything seems to be going smoothly, and suddenly, a storm arrives and shakes your entire world. For humans, these moments are necessary, only then do we truly understand the power of God and turn to Him in faith.
In our family, we have been blessed by our beloved Deva, Sai Ram. Throughout my life, He has guided me at every step. I’ve had many divine experiences. He helped me get my dream job, blessed me with the husband I always wished to marry, and showed His presence in those moments. He has continually blessed my family and my child, even helping me when my child was sick and I was deeply worried.
There was a moment when my world seemed to change completely. I had been praying for a second child for almost two years, and I kept receiving a message from Him that by Ram Navami, I would receive good news. Miraculously, I did and I found out I was pregnant. I was overwhelmed with tears of joy and felt truly blessed.
But soon, challenges arose. The pregnancy didn’t progress as expected. Despite the doctor’s warnings, I refused to consider abortion, holding onto hope. Then, unexpectedly, I started bleeding, and at the hospital, I was told that the pregnancy had ended. I was devastated. I had trusted my Deva completely, and it felt as if that trust had been broken. For a time, I withdrew from prayer and stopped remembering Him, consumed by sorrow.
Even in that pain, I began to realize something profound. Faith isn’t only about receiving what we wish for. It’s also about trusting the divine plan, even when it’s beyond our understanding. Though I lost what I longed for, the experience taught me patience, resilience, and the quiet strength that comes from holding onto faith. Yet, deep down, I still felt anger and hurt toward Him.
The months that followed were extremely difficult. I was grieving the loss of my baby, my husband was in the US for work, and I was facing challenges at my job. Everything in my life felt unsettled. Gradually, however, things began to improve. By the next year, life started to feel lighter. My daughter and I got our US visas approved, and by May, we traveled to the US. My life changed once again. I left my job with a sense of contentment and readiness to embrace a completely new chapter in a new place. Through all the hardships, I realized that even when life feels chaotic and unfair, the journey can lead us to new beginnings and unexpected blessings.
I was happy with my family, making new friends, and enjoying life. Yet, a small part of me still felt hurt by my Deva. Then, again, I was confronted with a challenge. My daughter’s health condition. I felt completely lost, unsure where to turn. In this deep pain, I once more turned to Him, crying and asking for His help. I was utterly broken, with no hope left, thinking perhaps He wouldn’t help me this time.
But He did. He came to save me when I felt I had nowhere to go. I was overwhelmed, out of my mind with worry, yet He made me feel comforted and brought me back to life. I experienced such profound divine presence that I could feel Him guiding me continuously. In that moment, I felt deep regret for having turned away from Him over the past two or three years. Yet, He had never left me alone. He was always with me, patiently waiting for me to return. Now, I understand that His presence is constant, even when I fail to recognize it.
Om Sai Ram.
