Sai Baba’s Banana Leaf Miracle

Thank you to the admins for maintaining this platform for Sai Parivar to share their experiences. Every year we do shrardham for my late father-in-law on his anniversary. In 2018, we did the same and invited two priests to do the rituals and have lunch after that. The Shrardham is an annual ritual performed for the deceased and for the ancestors, involving priests chanting before a fire, followed by lunch, cooked and served on banana leaves in a traditional way. There are many regulations about it, the lunch being a big part of it, to be prepared and served in a very specific way. The son performs the rites (my husband in this case) and the daughter-in-law (me) cooks and serves the meals.

I usually get many banana leaves from a friend’s garden to serve the meals. Living in the Northwest of the U.S., banana leaves and plants which are tropical plants, are rare. My father-in-law’s anniversary comes usually in Nov when the cold and rains set in and even the few remaining plants perish for the year (to regrow next year). That particular Nov had been very rainy and windy and the banana leaves in my friend’s garden were very torn. All we could get was just two small baby banana leaves which were not sufficient. I checked at the local Indian stores and they said leaves had to be pre-ordered a week in advance and this was needed for the next day. I was worried as to how I was going to serve the priests without banana leaves. Plates are not appropriate for such a solemn occasion.

On the day of the shrardham, I got up early, showered, and prepared all the meals. I prayed to Baba and all the Gods that the problem of the banana leaves should be solved. I told Baba that I didn’t know how He was going to do it, but I was leaving it to Him. Ten minutes before the priests were to arrive, the head priest called me informing me that they were on their way and asked, “By the way, there were three priests and not two, is that OK?” I said, of course, all were welcome and there was plenty of food. I did not tell him that I had no leaves to serve on. Now I was truly worried.

In a few minutes, the priests walked in. Imagine my wonder and surprise when one of them unfolded a large roll of newspaper and took out 10 large banana leaves, enough to serve everyone! Apparently, the temple had had a surplus of leaves from another event and they had decided to bring them along. I had not mentioned anything about the leaves to the priest or the temple. They knew nothing about the fact that I did not have any leaves for serving. Yet how did they manage to bring exactly the thing that I needed? This had never happened in the prior years and not since then! If this was not Baba’s Leela, how else could you explain it? The food was plentiful and the priests enjoyed the meal.

Later that day I narrated this episode to my mother and mother-in-law and they both agreed that this was an amazing coincidence. This was all Baba’s grace, His Leela. Even now, I get goosebumps and tears thinking about how He blessed us and helped us complete the rituals.

Sai Baba Blessed With A Baby Girl

Hi, my pregnancy was ok for the first two trimesters by Baba’s grace. Last trimester I had a really bad cough for about eight weeks. Later we had to decide on induction and my family wanted to take a room for two weeks. It would cost about 8k which was neither required nor affordable. I prayed to God and decided to take it short to a week and finally my hubby accepted by God’s grace. They induced me on Friday night and waited 18 hours but there was not much progress. I prayed to God to get a call for induction and gave Dakshina to make sure that they admit us. 

With Baba’s grace, I got a call at 9.30 the next day. They had to induce using hormones which took six hours and finally within the next hour, I had a baby but she was breech and didn’t breathe soon after the birth. It took about 20 minutes after oxygen therapy and all other treatments. Finally, she breathed by herself. She was underweight and needed to go through many 10’s blood tests more than 50 times in the first 72 hours. Once sugar levels were under control, there was jaundice and they had to do blood tests and phototherapy. The hearing test didn’t clear on the first go which made us nervous but was cleared on the second attempt. Finally, as the baby was breech they said that there was slight hip disclosure. By Baba’s grace, we need to get an appointment soon and it should get normal. 

Baba, only by Your grace though we are going through so many things, I just chant Your name to take care of the baby and everyone. Thank You for making the delivery quick but please make sure that baby is going according to parameters and prevent further tests, Baba. Please help me finish the third exam soon. Only You are the Creator, Protector, and decision-maker of our lives. There were many times before going to the ultrasound I prayed to Baba that everything should be normal and that they should allow me though I had a cough. I am grateful to You Baba every second of my breath from my heart. Om Sai Ram!

Sai Baba: The Divine Healer

Anonymous Shirdi Sai Devotee from India says: I am an anonymous devotee from Mumbai and a rather new one. Just started getting Baba’s grace and experiences though no one in our family really worships Sai.

I suffered from a blocked nose every night and was strongly addicted to Otrivin, a nose inhaler that is not at all advisable and healthy. I used it for almost seven years. Nothing could really help me cure the problem completely. I could never sleep at night without nasal drops.

One day when I was strangely getting attracted to Baba or rather when He was showering His unconditional love and blessings on me. I decided to pray to Him.

I was so tired of the problem that I prayed deeply to God to relieve me of this problem permanently. I thought that if this problem is solved then God is definitely with me all the way. We all really need that assurance, especially in tough times. Somehow that day my bhabhi got me some natural herbal nasal drops from Isckon to try since she knew about my problem. Believe me, it somehow worked so magically on me that it’s been almost three months now that I have not used Otrivin.

Trust me, it’s a very big deal for me and all those who suffer from this problem know how hard it is to cure it. Some people also need surgery.

Baba has been my divine Doctor and healed me completely. I thank Baba from the bottom of my heart. He is my Sai Mai

Thank you Hetalji for creating this website as the experiences posted here, boost our faith in Sai. I would like to thank Sai from the bottom of my heart for guiding and protecting us all the time. I had promised that I would share all these experiences here. 

1. My son had surgery a few months back and Sai gave us strength all these days and he started going to school full days by Sai’s grace. 
2. One day after coming from school he had a mild cold. After praying to Sai it was completely cured. Sai cured his stomach pain also.  
3. Thanks, Sai for making his poop solid and also for reducing the frequency. 
4. Thanks, Sai for making me rejoin the job and also curing my body pains.  
5. One day I had a bad dream and also one message was bothering me so much. I prayed to Sai to please make them both false. Thank You, Sai for listening to my prayers and also for not making that thing happen.

Sai Baba’s Mercy On Each Living Being 

Anonymous Shirdi Sai Devotee from USA says: I’m a devotee from the USA. Here I’m writing about two experiences that happened recently. 

I have a 10-month-old puppy. He’s cute and naughty. He puts everything in his mouth like a toddler. So last week he had diarrhea because of bad eating habits. He had a couple of loose motions and was lethargic. Many times he gets that and we run to the vet. It was in the evening and all the vet offices were closed and I was sad and scared. So I prayed to Baba to cure him and gave him Udi water. After a while, its diarrhea stopped. In 1-2 days my puppy was completely ok. Thank You, Sai.

Also today my dog was vomiting. I prayed to Baba. Baba listens to each heartfelt prayer. He was cured again. I’m praying to Baba so that my puppy doesn’t eat any random bad stuff. May Sai bless all. 

Sai Baba Miracles

My brother had severe abdominal pains for many days which were not getting better even with medications. He was ordered by his family doctor to get an ultrasound and some blood work. My brother’s health has always been up and down for many years which has caused anxiety and stress to his family and me. I prayed to Sai Baba for His blessings and also advised my brother to use Udi before doing the lab tests. With Baba’s blessing, blood work and ultrasound were normal. I had promised to write on this blog if everything was normal.
